Why a planner for a simple life?
Over the years the creator has shared goals, menu-planning strategies, tips for making time to cook, and time-management strategies. Despite knowing the value of planning, finding a planner that fit those needs was a challenge.
The goal of planning is to guard against simply letting life happen to you. When you plan—even in small ways—you give yourself the chance to look back and measure progress toward priorities over one year or five.

Simple homemade life priorities often include:
- Making time to cook healthy meals and enjoy food with loved ones.
- Growing food and flowers in the garden.
- Reading and nourishing the mind.
- Creating with hands—painting, crafting, or completing a project—and savoring the sense of accomplishment.
All of these pursuits share one essential resource:
TIME
Time is the constraint most people mention. Planning helps you control time in ways that align with priorities. Writing things down lets you assess whether your life is moving toward what you envisioned earlier.
After trying many planning systems, the creator developed a new planner that blends traditional structure with the flexibility of the Bullet Journal method. The result is The Flexible Planner©: dot-grid pages, blank spaces, a lists section, and an index to find what you need.
With The Flexible Planner© you don’t need to recreate layouts every week. Gentle prompts and guided pages help you set and pursue goals while leaving plenty of blank space to design pages that work for you.
This planner helps maintain progress toward a simpler life. Knowing your priorities makes it easier to say yes to what moves you forward and no to distractions.
