This authentic guacamole recipe is quick, simple, and made with just a handful of fresh ingredients. Use it as a dip, a side, or a topping for tacos and salads.

How to Make Authentic Guacamole:
With a few fresh ingredients, you can have delicious guacamole ready in about 10 minutes.
- Cut avocados in half and remove the pit.
- Score the flesh and scoop it into a bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix to combine.
- Mash with a fork or potato masher to your preferred consistency.
- Serve with chips, on tacos, or as a topping for grilled meats and vegetables.
Serving Suggestions:
This guacamole pairs beautifully with tacos and fajitas, and it also shines on its own as a fresh, creamy dip served with tortilla chips.
Try it alongside roasted or blackened fish tacos, sweet potato and black bean tacos, or with classic beef dishes for a bright, tangy contrast.

How to Store Guacamole:
To slow browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This minimizes air exposure and keeps the color fresher for longer.
Have extra ripe avocados? Make a larger batch and freeze it. Pack guacamole into freezer bags, remove as much air as possible, and freeze flat for easy storage. Adding a little extra lime juice before freezing helps retain color and flavor.

To Freeze:
- Place a large freezer bag in a tall cup and fold the edges over the rim to hold it open.
- Spoon the guacamole into the bag, press out excess air, and seal.
- Lay the bag flat to freeze for compact storage.
- To thaw, submerge the sealed bag in cold water for 30–60 minutes or move it to the refrigerator to thaw overnight.

Enjoy!
