I have been trying to eat better for the last few months, but my biggest weakness is chocolate. While the occasional candy bar is allowed, it doesn’t always satisfy the craving. That’s why I created a healthier yet indulgent treat: No-Bake Chocolate Hummus.
This chocolate hummus is rich, satisfying, and surprisingly simple to prepare. It requires no baking and uses just a few ingredients, making it a quick snack or dessert option when you want something chocolaty without overindulging. Give it a try—you might be pleasantly surprised!

Ingredients Needed to Make Chocolate Hummus:
- Nestle Toll House semi-sweet morsels (or your favorite chocolate chips)
- Original hummus (store-bought or homemade)
- 100% cacao powder (unsweetened)
How to Make Chocolate Hummus:
- In a bowl, combine the original hummus with 1–2 teaspoons of cacao powder.
- Stir thoroughly until the cacao is evenly incorporated and the hummus turns a rich chocolate color.
- Transfer the mixture to a smaller serving bowl and sprinkle the top with semi-sweet morsels.
- Serve with crackers, pretzels, fruit, or graham crackers. Enjoy!
If you prefer more texture and extra chocolate, fold additional chocolate chips into the hummus to make a Chocolate Chip Hummus variation. I like adding the chips on top for a visually appealing finish and a satisfying crunch with each bite.

Notes and Serving Ideas
- This recipe is adaptable: adjust cacao to taste for a milder or richer chocolate flavor.
- Pair with sliced fruit like strawberries or bananas for a healthier dessert option.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
