Tropical and fruity, these 2 Ingredient Strawberry Orange Smoothies are incredibly simple and taste like summer in a glass.

Tropical and fruity and oh so simple, our family loves a 2 Ingredient Strawberry Orange Smoothie!

When I went back to work after spending two and a half years at home with our boys, my office was right in downtown Orlando. I was intimidated by the one-way streets (I basically knew one way to work and one way to get home), but the variety of lunch spots made the commute worthwhile. One of my coworkers—hi Lynn!—brought me to a local smoothie shop where I tried a simple strawberry orange smoothie. It’s the same easy drink I’m sharing with you here.

Fruity and refreshing, 2 ingredient Strawberry Orange Smoothies are a delicious snack to sip!

Yes, the recipe really is just two ingredients:

  • Frozen strawberries
  • Orange juice

Don’t let the simplicity fool you—there are a few easy tips that will help you make the best smoothie for your taste.

Frozen whole strawberries are simply berries with no added sugar, so the sweetness of the drink depends on the fruit. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, use frozen strawberries packed in syrup or stir in a bit of powdered sugar or a sugar substitute. I personally enjoy the bright, slightly tart flavor that whole frozen berries bring when blended with orange juice, but adjust the sweetness to your liking.

Note: you can use fresh strawberries, but the drink won’t be as cold or slushy.

Now about the orange juice: choose the type you enjoy. I love pulp, but if you prefer no pulp that’s fine too. For a fun twist, try orange blends such as orange-pineapple, orange-banana, or orange-strawberry-banana—each brings a slightly different flavor profile that pairs beautifully with strawberries.

Here are a few tools I use when making this smoothie:

  • Powerful blender (any high-speed blender or single-serve blender works well)
  • Pretty tumblers or glasses for serving
  • Paper straws for a fun touch

These 2 Ingredient Strawberry Orange Smoothies are refreshing, fast, and perfect for hot days. They’re an easy snack or light breakfast to enjoy whenever you want a taste of summer.
