Bacon is one of the quintessential Saturday morning foods.
Learning to bake bacon yields perfectly crispy, mess-free results for your weekend breakfast.

I’m all about time-savers in the kitchen.
One of my favorite shortcuts is baking bacon in the oven.
If you’ve never tried baking bacon you might wonder why to choose it over frying on the stove. The biggest advantage for me is that it eliminates the greasy splatters that usually cover the stovetop.
In our new house the stovetop is stainless steel, which shows streaks and requires more careful cleaning than my old range. Baking bacon solves that—no greasy mess and much less cleanup.
The other great benefit is you don’t have to stand at the stove and flip each piece to get even cooking. The oven does the work while you get on with other tasks.
And there’s no risk of getting splattered by hot grease while someone flips a strip of bacon; everything cooks safely in a single tray in the oven.

Baking bacon frees your hands and your time, whether you’re preparing a big breakfast or just need both hands free for other chores.
Maybe you’re asking, “How do you bake bacon?” I didn’t grow up doing it this way myself—turns out the packaging often mentions oven cooking if you check—but once I tried it I never looked back.
Have you ever baked bacon before, or was this also a new trick to you recently? Whoever discovered this method deserves praise: no splatters, no babysitting, no fuss, and reliably perfect bacon every time.
How to Bake Bacon – 5 Steps to Perfect Baked Bacon
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. This keeps bacon from sticking and makes cleanup far easier.
3. Arrange bacon strips on the lined sheet. Lay them close but not overlapping—overlapping pieces will stick together while baking.
4. Place the baking sheet on the middle rack for the most even heat distribution.
5. Bake for about 15–20 minutes. Exact time depends on your oven, the thickness of the bacon, and how crispy you like it. Keep an eye on your first batch to determine the ideal time.
