Quick Vegan Recipes from Black Creators

Hello everyone — I’m easing back into a normal blogging rhythm and wanted to share this post I’ve been refining over the past few days. Stepping away from regular recipe posts gave me space to learn, reflect, and share resources about systemic racism on other platforms. In returning, I wanted to both acknowledge what’s happening in the world and highlight talented Black creators by sharing their approachable, low-effort vegan recipes. These dishes are meant to nourish and comfort while supporting diverse voices in food.

The recent weeks have brought a surge of heartbreaking news about police brutality and injustice, and many of us—especially Black communities—are feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. At the same time, people everywhere are absorbing a flood of new information and history. That emotional and mental load can easily lead to burnout, so it’s important to take care of ourselves practically: by eating well and making space for rest and reflection.

I encourage readers to intentionally follow and support creators whose backgrounds and perspectives differ from their own. Food blogging and vegan spaces can be disproportionately white, so amplifying diverse voices matters. I also invite continued learning about the systems and histories that shape current events. On my profile I’ve saved a highlight of informative Instagram stories that cover systemic racism, statistics, and historical context—resources that helped me learn and reflect.
