Have you visited Souplantation recently? I’ve been to several locations over the years, and this was my first time at the Fountain Valley restaurant. It sits conveniently off the 405 Freeway in the Costco shopping center near the corner of Talbert and Newhope.

The updated interior impressed me right away. The remodel gives the space a modern, clean look that highlights the fresh, made-from-scratch offerings. Presentation and atmosphere make it easy to see the focus on quality ingredients.
The dining area was tidy while I was there, and staff replenished items as needed. Despite a steady crowd, the food stations remained orderly and well stocked, which made serving myself quick and pleasant.

The salad selection offered a colorful variety of fresh items. Souplantation partners with California farmers to include seasonal, locally grown produce, so you can mix and match ingredients to create a salad that fits your appetite and mood.

In addition to salads, there are stations for soups and pasta, freshly baked muffins, focaccia and other breads, plus a dessert bar. Some menu items are offered year-round while others rotate with the seasons, keeping the choices fresh and interesting.

I usually try to sample a bit of everything, but on this visit I loaded up on a generous salad and didn’t leave room for the other stations. That just means I’ll be returning soon to try more.
